East Gate Church is a Christ-centered community dedicated to helping people know God, grow in their faith, and live out His purpose in their daily lives. Kid Connect is the children’s ministry of East Gate Church, serving infants through elementary-aged children. Our mission is to partner with families in raising a generation that knows and loves Jesus. Through engaging Bible lessons, prayer, age-appropriate activities, and meaningful relationships, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

We are committed to teaching biblical truth, modeling Christ-like character, and helping children build a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.

As a Sunday School Teacher (Infant/Toddler Class), you’ll make a difference by helping our mission come to life for the youngest families in our community. This purpose-driven role exists to create a secure, loving space where infants and toddlers can begin to experience Jesus’ love while parents engage in worship.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare the room, materials, and simple, age-appropriate Bible activities
- Supervise children closely while providing care (comforting, diapering, snacks as needed)
- Share biblical truth through short stories, songs, prayer, and play
- Follow child safety, sanitation, and check-in/check-out procedures
- Communicate respectfully with parents and ministry leadership
- Clean, sanitize, and reset the classroom after service

Required qualifications/skills:
- Experience with children; basic infant/toddler development knowledge
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Dependable, patient, trustworthy; supports East Gate Church’s mission

You arrive at 9:00AM to open the Infant/Toddler room, tidy the space, set out toys and books, and take a moment to pray for the children and their families. As check-in begins, you welcome parents warmly, learn any feeding or allergy notes, and help little ones settle in.

During service, the morning flows between gentle routines and joyful moments—simple worship music, a short Bible point, and lots of guided play. You stay attentive to needs and transitions, and you loop in ministry leadership if a parent should be contacted.

At pick-up, you verify release, share a bright moment from the morning, and then finish by sanitizing and resetting the classroom so the next Sunday starts strong.
